Sponsorship is a fantastic way to help a vulnerable child grow up healthy and protected from abuse in all its forms. By sponsoring a child, you contribute to providing concrete and lasting improvements to the child’s living conditions and to those of their entire community. Above all, you give the children a chance to build their own future.
-
All children deserve to grow up healthy, surrounded by their families, and to go to school to build their futures.
By providing a child with access to essentials such as healthcare, nutrition, clean drinking water, sanitation and education, you benefit that individual and their whole community. Your support opens doors for the child and creates a better future for all.

SESSI’S STORY
Like Sessi, many children in Benin are orphaned when their mothers die due to childbirth complications. Sessi’s mother Angèle passed away after suffering an obstetric fistula (which occurs when there is an abnormal opening between the vagina and the bladder or rectum) due to a complication of pregnancy. This complication kills many women in Benin’s cities and villages. Consequently, many children are orphaned and subsequently left to fend for themselves. Sessi has lost both her parents. Together, we can build better futures for these children.
